4 Sweet SF Shops for Covet-Worthy Home Finds for KidsAuthor:Lindsey Shook
In need of modern finds for kids? Whether you’re decking out a nursery or looking for a rad baby shower gift, these four SF shops carry sleek and chic toys, nursery decor, must-haves for babies, and cool kid’s clothes.
2110 Chestnut Street
This high-end Marina-based shop is known for carrying gear and decor from covetable brands like Bugaboo, UPPAbaby, Oeuf and more. Plus, we’re big fans of their exclusive giggle Better Basics line, which features super stylish nursery furniture, toys and clothes at a lower price point.
Favorite Finds (above, clockwise from top left): Manny & Simon Heirloom Animal Push Toy Snail, $32; Giraffe Silhouette Lamp, $175; giggle Better Basics Stripe Receiving Blanket, $36; Luca Glider, $995; Creativity Cruiser, $120.
345 Ninth St., Suite 202
Branch Home is known for its focus on fabulous design with a sustainable twist. We’ve headed here for everything from pillows to cookware, but we’ve recently been most taken with their lively picks for kids.
Favorite finds (above, clockwise from top left): Numeric Chipboard Postcards, $12 for four; Rush Hour Pillow, $47; Cub Children’s Chair, $238; Kalon Studios 3 Blocks Nesting Stools, $750 for three; Bambino Kids Utensils, $9 for set of three.
3338 17th Street
We recently expressed our obsession with Aldea Home (one of our favorite shops along the Valencia Corridor). Aldea Niños is owner Johanna Bialkin’s take on children’s design, and we’re just as smitten with this store as we are with her grown-up location.
Favorite Finds (above, clockwise from top left): Oxo Candela Zoom Nightlight, $28; Kid O Floating Ducks, $12; Doodles Coloring Book, $19; Plan Toys Musical Band, $55; Oeuf Mini Library, $660.
Sprout San Fransisco
1828 Union Street
Like Branch Home, Sprout San Francisco offers natural and organic children’s toys, clothes and decor. Plus, the sweet-but-still-chic options make it one of our go-to children’s stores.
Favorite Finds (above, clockwise from top left): 123 California Counting Book, $8; Scout Journey Pack Compact Diaper Bag, $149; Art Card Mobile, $24; San Francisco Wood Print, $25.
