Get Down at this Month’s SFMOMA Modern Ball 2012

If you’re going to drop big bucks on one event this month (and there are a lot of options!), the SFMOMA’s Modern Ball 2012 should be at the top of your list.

The event takes place Wednesday, April 25. The famed Gala Dinner features a five-course menu and a live auction of incredible works like Doug Aitken’s 1968 (black) (above). If going formal isn’t your thing, hold off and snag a (less-pricey) ticket for the Post-Modern Party, when the fun really picks up.

This year, LA-based disco-pop duo Poolside will rock the—er—museum. They’ll be followed by what are sure to be killer sets by Chromeo and—get this—renowned chef and DJ (who knew?) Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys.  Plus, you can boogie on down while snacking on bites from SF’s Tacolicious and Garden Creamery and sipping on signature cocktails.

Even better? Proceeds from the event will help support SFMOMA’s stellar exhibitions and education programs, so you can feel good about getting your party on.

The SFMOMA Modern Ball 2012, Wednesday, April 25. Tickets range from $100-$150 for the Post-Modern Party. Tickets for the Supper Club range from $500-$1,000. Tickets for the Gala Dinner are sold out.
