Dandelion Ranch Floral Pop-Up Shop
The creative team behind LA-based floral design studio, Dandelion Ranch, pops up at Beverly Boulevard’s West Elm store just in time for Mother’s Day.  On Saturday,  May 12, Dandelion Ranch will be selling flowers by the stem and assembling them at no extra charge in containers purchased from West Elm or ones brought from home. Dandelion Ranch will open up shop at 10 a.m. and will service customers until 3 p.m. West Elm; 8366 Beverly Blvd., LA

Check Out the Laguna Design Center
The LDC will be open this Saturday. Participating showrooms, such as Blake House, Century, Elizabeth Benefield, Lighting Innovation and Witford, will be open every second Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through August 11. Heath Ceramics’ Open Studio Weekend

The traditional spring event, where visitors can explore Heath’s and Studio Director Adam Silverman’s current projects, will be held May 11-13 at Heath Los Angeles. In addition to the Open Studio events, in-store purchases are 15 percent off, with select gallery items. One-of-a-kind production and studio samples will also be available at the event. Joshua Tree Gallery Crawl
Don’t let its rustic setting fool you–there’s plenty of art and culture out in Joshua Tree–and finding it is the best part. This weekend, truck out to the desert for The Red Arrow Gallery‘s Joshua Tree Gallery Crawl. Showcasing the work of local artists, the event is held on the second Saturday of every month. Biannual Eat.Drink.Art. Benefit
The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation host the Biannual Eat.Drink.Art. Benefit this Saturday. Festivities, which include dancing, drinking and mingling with artists, curators, civic and cultural leaders, begin at 7:00 p.m. atop scenic Olive Hill. Out Spoken: Lectures from the SCI-Arc Media Archive
A new exhibition that explores curated selections from over four decades of lectures, symposia, performance and gallery talks from the most talented and—yes—outspoken architects of our time opens next Tuesday, May 15 at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture. A curatorial walk-through will take place at 6 PM followed by a free public reception from 7-9 PM. 835 N. Kings Road in West Hollywood

AIA/LA presents 2X8 TAUT

Showcasing exemplary student work from architecture and design institutions throughout the state, the annual 2×8 exhibition opens Tuesday, June 5. For the 10th anniversary of the event, sponsored by the AIA Los Angeles, the competition is open to not only students, but to faculty as well. Submitted design work will be judged by a noteworthy panel of architects and designers, who will then announce the winners at the exhibition opening and in a forum discussing the award-winning projects.
