Where to Go and What to See this Weekend in LA
Author:Lindsey ShookWhat will you do with your first weekend of June? Here’s a roundup of events that won’t disappoint.
Venice: Deus ex Machina Carnival
Don’t miss Australian custom motorcycle company Deus ex Machina’s Carnival of Go & Flow, this Saturday in Venice. Deus (pronounced day-us), which sells everything from motorcycles and surfboards to Rhodia notepads and lattés, is hosting a party at their indoor-outdoor Venice outpost aka the Emporium of Post Modern Activities. In keeping with the company’s belief that doing something is more fun than merely owning something, they are promising us an afternoon of “all that rides and glides…eclectic bikes, frosty suds and roasted meats, a brace of bands and much more,” which we think is Deus speak for good eats, good music, and a good time, all in the presence of some beautiful custom bikes. According to Deus’ Stefan Wigand, there are more interesting events like this to come. We’re excited. Saturday, June 2, 12-6 p.m.
