Weekend Event: PMCA’s Project Room Artists Talk About Their New Exhibit
Author:Dara KerrCollaborative artists Lisa Little and Emily White will join KCRW’s Frances Anderton on Saturday to discuss the “DNA” of their latest installation at the Pasadena Museum of California.
The two artists have worked together to integrate their jaw-dropping architecture-based sculpture in the PMCA’s actual building.
Titled Layer: A Loose Horizon, their artwork occupies two rooms in the museum and the sculpture reaches across the outer façade of the building. The goal of Little and White is to capture visitor’s imaginations and change the idea of spatial construction. Along with the sculpture, drawings and computer renderings of the artwork in its earlier stages will be on display.
The talk is at 5pm on Saturday at the Pasadena Museum of California and is free and open to the public. Layer: A Loose Horizon opened in June and will be on display through October 14, 2012.
