Built in 1935, this 4-bed, 3.5-bath hillside house in Sausalito was renovated from the foundation to the roof by its owner/architect Julie Momchilov Johnson. The once-shingled exterior has been completely re-clad with stucco, concrete panels and Ipe wood siding and new aluminum windows—including an 18-ft folding Nanawall opening the living room to the deck—plus rooftop solar panels that provide almost of the house’s electrical needs.

Topped with a grassy living roof, the new stair tower connects the ground floor garage and media/family rooms to the main living spaces.

The house is on a corner, so unlike so many Sausalito houses on small lots, it doesn’t feel hemmed in. There’s also a new entrance on the main level– for more images, check out the listing link.

Open Sunday, October 7 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM
