Design Daily: Monacle Tables From Zara HomeAuthor:Sarah Virginia White
European styling? Check. Something for every room in your house? Check. Affordable? Double check. I’m obsessing over Zara Home, which has been stylishly filling homes since its US launch on October 9. The new line includes a huge range of color-saturated items, including bedding, textiles, tableware and accessories (head to our Editor’s Choice gallery of our favorites), but my top pick is the Monacle table duo, which gets top marks for versatility.
The glass-topped tables come as a nested set (approximately 16 and 18 inches tall). Note the tiny footprint—it’s practically non-existant—that is so crucial for us city-dwellers who are trying to cram high style into fewer square feet. They’d be perfect as bedside or end tables in a room aiming for Hollywood Regency glamour, but I would also mix them in a high-low house full of texture and color—say, by scattering them around a room layered with distressed cowhides or dhurrie rugs.
Speaking of distressed cowhides, Zara Home includes a few of those as well. Have fun mixing the various styles throughout the collection, but don’t miss a chance to snap up these glossy, double-duty end tables. Head to the online store, where you can also find Zara Home Kids, a line of children’s home items.
