We invite all California-based design professionals to submit their most recent innovative projects for consideration in our annual California Home+Design Awards.
One winner will be selected from each of the 10 categories listed below. In addition, there will be a special commendation awarded to a project submitted in any category for sustainability. A selection of rooms will be nominated for the Readers’ Choice award.
Deadline for entry is Wednesday, November 28.
The winners will be featured in the Spring 2013 issue and announced at our annual CH+D Awards Gala.

All winners must be available to accept their awards in person.
California-based professionals in the fields of interior design, architecture, landscape architecture, garden design and product design are eligible. To be considered, projects must be completed between November 1, 2010 and November 1, 2012. Projects that have previously been published in CH+D are ineligible. Whole-house projects only, please (excluding Product, Showcase House Design and Kitchen or Bath categories).
This year we are offering architects and designers the opportunity to submit their entire entry digitally. To submit digitally, click on the “Submit Now Online” button below and follow the instructions.
Mail In Submissions
To enter, please submit a binder, clearly labeled with one category name, the firm name and contact information, containing 8-by-10-inch professional-quality photo prints and a brief summary of the project in 150 words or less. In addition to photo prints, please submit a disc of digital images (TIFF/JPEG files should be at least 300 dpi at 8-by-10 inches). Please include a publishable portrait of the designer. The right to publish all submitted photography must be cleared in writing with the photographer(s) by the entrant, and this documentation must be included in the package. Entries cannot be returned.

*Submission Guidelines for Emerging Designer
Interior designers or architects who have had an established company for less than five years or are currently students are eligible. Please submit images of three projects (built or unbuilt), project summaries of 150 words or less for each, a 300-word bio of the designer and a headshot. Entry fee is reduced to $50 for submissions in this category.
