The growing family lives in a 3 bedroom, 1.5-bath condo in a classic San Francisco railway flat built about 100 years ago. There’s plenty of charm, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Teevan is transforming the space into a bright, refreshing bathroom that features beautiful tile from Porcelanosa and elegant Ferguson fixtures.
All projects have different needs and challenges, but every renovation has one thing in common: No matter where you live, whether it’s in an apartment, condo or single family home—the work that’s being done will impact your neighbors.

Being respectful of your neighbors is extremely important to the success of any home improvement undertaking. Neighbor notification and communication is one of the first things Teevan does when they begin a job. Over the years, Teevan owner Ben Ladomirak and his team have become experts at keeping peace in the neighborhood. “It’s important that the neighbors know who will be coming and going,” says Ladomirak. “It’s equally as important that they have the contact information for the Teevan team so that if they need any assistance during the course of the project, they can contact us directly and not have to bother their neighbor.”
Even though the bathroom refresh was happening inside, there was still increased activity, noise and sometimes dust. The Teevan team was mindful of people in the building who share walls, ceilings and floors as well as those next door.
Teevan pays attention to service details and attributes this type of consciousness to the success of their business. You move into a neighborhood because it has a lot to offer, and part of that is the community. Part of enjoying the finished product is being able to relax in your newly designed surroundings and that won’t be too easy if you are at odds with your neighbors. So be a good neighbor before, during and after construction and hire companies that are committed to this same philosophy.
