The Guest List: California Home+Design Issue Release Party in Napa Valley
Author:Abigail StoneOn March 6, the California Home+Design team took a trip up to Napa Valley for a day packed with tours, tasting and toasting. The day began with a tour of the gorgeous estate of Fantesca Estate & Winery, Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, a stop for a private lunch in the kitchen of Peju Winery, and our final stop at Keever Vineyards – this was Napa done right! Each winery has a heartfelt story behind their estate, tradition and each bottle of wine produced.
The day came to a close with a celebration for the Spring Edition (on newstands now!) at the beautifully revamped The Thomas. Party-goers gathered on the rooftop bar for specialty cocktails by Karlsson’s Vodka, wine by Peju, small bites from the kitchen, and soundscapes by DJ Dave Gillis. Plus, as if the views from the rooftop weren’t stunning enough, artist Penelope Moore created an acrylic painting on canvas of our Spring Cover with the CH+D award-winning James Magani chair!
If I had to repeat any day in the past year, I would say this one would be at the top of our list. Until we can do it all over again, I’ll keep sending myself florals from Melody Raye to remind me of our day in Napa valley.
