Design Daily: Summer Styling With Outdoor Fabric From Chris Barrett
Author:Sarah Virginia WhiteCoachella is barely two weeks away, and to kick off your desert-drifting dreams, I’m bringing you the gorgeous outdoor textiles from Santa Monica-based designer Chris Barrett. Her new Spring line, which officially debuted at Westweek, features perfectly-imperfect triangle prints on a sturdy, sandy-hued linen blend.
I must immediately seek a backyard and purchase enough material to make this teepee, below, which Barrett and her team cooked up for their photoshoot with Karyn R. Millet. The fabric is great for outdoors, but I think anyone with a dog or kid running around would be happy to put this on their indoor furniture. A tile in Marrakesh that was made up of little triangles inspired Barrett’s new design, and I am loving the neutral, tribal feel of the fabric.
Find the new textiles at San Francisco’s Hewn or Los Angeles’ Thomas Lavin showrooms—but most of all, enjoy the drool-worthy photos from the fabulous outdoor shoot, below.
