Design Daily: Wired Complement Table from Phase Design

As the warm weather settles in for good, it’s time to contemplate sprucing up your outdoor area with this hot little table—one that practically demands a round of icy twilight cocktails. The Wired Complement Table is new for 2013 from from Phase Design, a Los Angeles-based firm headed by designer Reza Feiz.

The lemon-yellow color is spot on for summer, and I love its modern bent-frame design. While it was originally intended for indoor use, the metal-topped Wired Complement can be adapted for the outdoors—the steel tabletop and bent-steel legs can instead be fabricated with stainless steel and, like the indoor version, can also be powder-coated in custom colors.

The Wired Complement is the latest in Phase Design’s Wired series of tables, side tables and benches that have previously featured wooden tops.

The table comes in a range of sizes (24-, 32- or 42-inch diameters), so if you have a large patio, these would look great scattered about your space as a collection of coffee and side tables in different colors.
