Travel and Shopping: Best When Done at the Same Time

Earlier this week, a series of suppers marked the launch of an exclusive partnership between One King’s Lane and The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts (the dazzling ensemble of elite accommodations like the US Grant in San Diego and the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills).

The interesting collaboration will create signature experiences for guests and customers of both brands. With road trips being a highlight of summer travel, the hotels and flash sales site have created curated journeys based on a traveler’s passions, be that art and design, food and wine, and more. For example, if you book at the Palace in San Francisco, your personalized itinerary may include searching for antiques at local shops along Valencia St, enjoying an alfresco opera performance in Golden Gate Park, then having drinks at The Pied Piper Bar.

Once you book a couple of nights at any of the twelve U.S. Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, you receive your personalized road trip itinerary and a $200 One King’s Lane gift card (because, obviously, travel and shopping go hand in hand!).

As part of the joint venture, One King’s Lane will also host two limited-time sales featuring handpicked furniture, design accents, and textiles inspired by their designers’ road trips from San Diego to Portland. Happening 7/2 and 7/9 at 11 a.m., you’ll have to be quick as they last a short 72 hours.

One Kings Lane launches new sales daily on top-brand, vintage, and designer home goods, many of which are sourced from around the globe, so it’s no surprise that its customers have similar appetites to explore the world as much as the guests of Starwood’s treasured hotels.
