Design Daily: Thicket Tables from Ted Boerner

Author:

San Francisco-based designer Ted Boerner has launched the latest addition to his luxurious furniture collection with Thicket, a line of glass-topped, minimalist steel tables. The branch-like structures form the base for eight standard variations on the table, including a tall, rectangular buffet and the low, oval coffee table pictured above.

The metallic bases and smoked glass tops have a luxe 70s vibe (a current obsession around our offices) that make them the perfect accompaniment to Boerner’s clean-lined upholstered seating. I’d also love to see these resting on slate pavers in a burbling backyard Zen garden—the steel-and-glass construction makes the tables ideal for luxurious outdoor spaces.

The collection is customizable, and starts at approximately $3,500 for a small side table. The steel bases are available in a handful of classic finishes (including matte bronze patina, warm bronze, matte silver, polished black and powder coat white) as well as bespoke colors, and interested parties can customize a design by switching up the table height and shape to suit their space.
