Hot off the heels of Small Business Saturday is the 3rd annual SFMade Holiday Gift Fair, and we’re pumped to continue supporting our local makers. Over 50 venders will be gathering in the Fleet Room at Fort Mason this weekend to sell handmade wares perfect for your Secret Santa or crafty coworkers. You’ll recognize local staples like Heath Ceramics, Dandelion Chocolate, Bi-Rite, and Rickshaw Bagworks, and discover gems like Crave, 3 Fish Studios, and DODOcase. From tech goodies and home décor to sweets and wine, the fair will definitely be your one-stop shop for everyone on your list – don’t forget to score some treats for yourself! Head downtown this Thursday to Autodesk Gallery for the latest event in the weekly Design Night series, “The Shape Of Things To Come.” Renowned sculptor Bruce Beasley will be speaking about the new possibilities of sculpture and technology. If you’re curious about 3D printing, robotics, and biomimicry, take part in this enlightening evening with fellow design enthusiasts and innovators. Creating big ideas in small spaces is the mantra of DISPLAY, a pop-up shop in Emeryville that is focused on designers, makers, and entrepreneurs that make up the collaborative creative community. December’s theme is fittingly DISPLAY: Holiday and will feature a fantastic assortment of workshops, installations, music, and locally-made food throughout the month.
