Design Daily: Alexander McQueen’s Pagan Designs for The Rug Company

Author:

Be still, my credit card. Playing off her inaugural Folklore collection for Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton teamed up with The Rug Company to launch a second stunning collection of designs this fall (the first was released in 2010). Organic motifs such as butterfly wings, feathers and florals form the core of the deconstructed patterns—hence the boho pagan vibe—and read as striking, colorful prints.

I’m most obsessed with the Monarch Fire, a hand woven silk design in saturated ochres and oranges. But scroll down to see the entire new collection, available at The Rug Company showroom in Los Angeles and Hewn in San Francisco.
