Say Hello to Kelly Wearstler, CH+D’s 2014 Design Icon Award WinnerAuthor:California Home And Design
We had a long-standing tradition in my family, that my brother and I could open one Christmas present each on Christmas Eve. The rest would have to wait until morning. Our 2014 California Home+Design Awards gala and issue release, where we will announce this year’s winners, are just a few weeks away (February 4), but I’m so excited to be able to announce one big winner today – a little early. It’s like Christmas all over again.
Our Design Icon Award honors a California designer who has helped shape the design scene in our state and beyond: Someone who’s influence we believe will go down in the design history books.
This year I am incredibly honored to announce Kelly Wearstler as the 2014 CH+D Awards Design Icon. From her designs for some of California’s most fabulous hotels to her jaw-dropping residential interiors to her coveted product lines, Ms. Wearstler has built a successful brand empire while remaining on the cutting edge of the industry.
We are thrilled to have Ms. Wearstler as our guest of honor at this year’s California Home+Design Awards gala. Look out for the whole story on the esteemed designer in our upcoming Spring 2014 edition, where we reveal of all of our 2014 Award winners.
