New ICONS Collection Sheds Light On CA Design InfluencersAuthor:Lindsey Shook
Of the five tastemakers Lamps Plus has selected – Christopher Kennedy, Tobi Fairley, Mr. Kate, Made By Girl, and Woodson & Rummerfeld – three are California-based.
Casual meets elegant in the lamp prints of Christopher Kennedy, complete with infinity filigree and bold borders. Keep it beachy (he calls Palm Springs his home) with aqua and lemon grass green, or make it dramatic with a fire engine red and charcoal pairing.
Los Angeles gal Kate Albrecht, writer and DIYer behind lifestyle blog Mr. Kate, has created designs on a more classic, monochromatic scale. Black and white hand drawn patterns dot her shades in typical DIY fashion in unleveled lines that bring a touch of whimsy and artistic flair to any room.
Woodson & Rummerfeld, of the eponymous House of Design in LA, brings you designs that boast old-Hollywood “sophistication and swag,” an accurate description of the marbleized high-style pattern that was inspired by leather book covers. Check ‘em out in regal red and purple hues, or a fun cotton-candy pink and blue mix.
Pieces start at $69 and each collection is available in 16 beautiful color combos to match your space. Preview the entire ICONS Collection here. All images via Lamps Plus.
