See an impressive selection of modernist art from the National Gallery of Art’s collection that includes works by Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, and Frank Stella, among others. One of the highlights is a rare display of Barnett Newman’s 15-painting masterpiece The Stations of the Cross: Lema Sabachthani (1958–1966)—shown together as the artist intended within a discrete, chapel-like gallery devoted solely to the series.

Located in one of the most gorgeous parts of San Francisco in lush Golden Gate Park, a visit to the de Young Museum is a real treat and the Modernism show is an excellent reason to tour. The de Young Museum is San Francisco’s oldest public museum and features American art from the 17th through the 21st centuries, international textiles and costumes, and art from the Americas, the Pacific, and Africa. Enter to win VIP tickets below!
