Blackman Cruz—the curated design collection, with a big following among A-list designers and celebrities, will put its coveted wares up for sale at the prestigious Wright auction house on April 21st in Chicago, but Angelenos will get first dibs during a special preview exhibition at the dealers’ showroom starting April 10.

Festival
Winning entries from the Market Street Prototyping experiment will take over the city’s main drag and become a reality for three days, from a visual and oral exploration of the city’s forgotten waterways to and interactive light installation that triggered by people’s footsteps.

DeKor & Co.
Opening
A piece of Echo Park lands in Ojai with the opening of interior decorator Isabelle Dahlin’s new boutique DeKor & Co. The 2,500-square-foot space is chockablock with bohemian flair, from alpaca throws to an in-house tea bar with custom-made bistro tables and vintage chairs.

Diana Al-Hadid “Ground and Figures”
Don’t miss the cutting-edge, Brooklyn-based artist’s site-specific installation, which will take the shape of a large, walk-through wall panel that incorporates landscapes and figures from old master paintings. Look out for “Synonym,” a sculptural cousin to an older work called “Antonym.”
