Move over, Art Basel. Another must-attend event is hitting Miami Beach this spring and the design community is already buzzing about the first-ever affair. MAISON&OBJET, the renowned international trade show showcasing the very best in global luxury, is coming to America May 12-15, and the turnout is sure to be impressive. The Paris fair, which hosts more than 6,000 exhbitors, 160,000 trade visitors, and 6,000 journalists, was the launching pad for MAISON&OBJET ASIA in Singapore, and now the fair is hitting the States with a sold out event at the Miami Beach Covention Center.

The entire area is gearing up for the epic event with local museums and galleries creating special pop-up displays and offering free admission to fairgoers. Showrooms in the area will also be hosting their own programming and there will be more cocktail parties, insider tours, and appearances from top designers than style mavens can imagine.

The four-day fair will feature 20 conferences, including a keynote speech from visionaries like Paola Navone, Dror Benshetrit, George Yabu, Glenn Pushelberg, Lee Mindel, and more. Attendees will also have the chance to take part in workshops on the latest trends and inspiration, including Material Connexion, an exploration of new ideas from rising design stars. Presentations will also highlight exemplary achievements in interior design and retail, and several conferences will showcase discussions between collaborators, colleagues, or competitors regarding a variety of design topics.

In addition to the well-known names appearing at the event, Zanini de Zanine will be honored as MAISON&OBJET AMERICAS’ first ever Designer of the Year at an event at Frank Gehry’s New World Center, and emerging talents from across North America and Latin America will showcase their products.
