The 38th Annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase Opens In Presidio Heights This WeekendAuthor:Michelle Konstantinovsky
What if we told you you could get your hands on some of the most coveted pieces from the West Coast’s top designers, help support a worthy cause, and spend a day in one of San Francisco’s most glamorous mansions, all at the same time?
If it sounds too good to be true, then you should see for yourself by snagging a ticket to the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, returning for its 38th run April 25–May 25. Considered the West Coast’s premier design showhouse event, the stylish soiree is also an important fundraiser supporting the city’s University High School (UHS) Financial Aid Program.
Since 1977, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase has been taking place in some of the city’s most prestigious residences and this year is no exception. A Julia Morgan-designed Presidio Heights mansion will be housing the event and attendees will have a chance to peruse design must-haves while admiring 9,758 square feet of architectural beauty, including a dramatic grand balustrade staircase, three floors, six bedrooms, and a to-die-for remodeled kitchen.
The event is a serious money-maker for the UHS Financial Aid Program, raising over $700,000 last year, and over 13.5 million since its first year. The funds are crucial to the kids at UHS as almost a quarter of the students there receive financial aid.
Design addicts will be blown away by the impressive array of industry icons showcasing their work at the event. Well-known names like Candace Barnes, JUTE, Phillip Silver Design, Green Couch, and more will be transforming the 2015 Showcase and enticing attendees.
Tickets for the San Francisco Decorator Showcase are $35 for general admission and $30 for students and seniors. You can purchase tickets at the door and online at DecoratorShowcase.org. Group rates for 10 or more can be arranged in advance by calling (415) 447-5830.
