Industry Insider: Forgery Bar En Route To Mid-Market, Courtesy Of The PlumpJack Group

Make it a threesome for the PlumpJack Group.

Next month, PlumpJack plans to open Forgery, a cocktail bar located right off the corner of Mission Street and 11th Street. Set in the two-story space that was once a glass-blowing studio, Forgery is right next to PlumpJack’s forthcoming nightclub, which will be a separate property with a different name. In addition to those two Mid-Market area projects, PlumpJack is also taking over the Mission’s Lexington Club, which is slated to close this month.

With Forgery, PlumpJack Group partners Hilary Newsom and Jeremy Scherer have brought on some notable cocktail talent: Jacques Bezuidenhout and Ken Luciano will be partners in the bar. The duo, which spent years in the Kimpton Hotels system, will oversee daily operations at Forgery.
