The Worlds Of Food And Tech Collide At BITE Silicon Valley This Summer
Author:Michelle KonstantinovskyIf the Bay Area is known for anything, it’s food and technology. This summer, the culinary and tech worlds are colliding in an epic event known as BITE Silicon Valley.
Taking place at Levi’s Stadium June 5-7, BITE Silicon Valley is the first event of its kind, exploring the ways food and tech intersect, and uniting some of the biggest names in both fields.
Top Chef head judge and MSNBC food correspondent, Tom Colicchio, will join 30 other chefs and industry bigwigs like Roy Choi, Michael Votaggio, and Top Chef Boston winner Mei Lin at the inaugural event. Other notable names on the roster include Hampton Creek CEO Josh Tetrick, Food+Tech Connect founder Danielle Gould, and Modernist Cuisine Lab head chef Francisco Migoya.
The three-day conference is packed with fascinating presentations, demonstrations, and panel discussions covering some controversial topics like The Renewed Debate About GMOs featuring Dr. Robert Fraley, EVP and CTO of Monsanto.
But what would a food event be without a grand tasting? Saturday and Sunday’s festivities culminate in a walk-around event featuring fine wines and dishes from renowned chefs and restaurants including Delfina, Tacolicious, Atelier Crenn, and many more. The latest food gadgets and gizmos will also be on display, including the Lynx Smart Grill, PicoBrew Zymatic, and more.
