Earlier this year, Proper Hospitality took over The Viceroy property in Palm Springs, and now’s your chance to check out the revamp with the help of this off-season package. This is your annual chance to check out the best handcrafted design in the country, from jewelry and clothing to furniture and home decor. Returning by popular demand is Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft, in which celebrated local designers and architects (Gustave Carlson, Anastasia Faiella, Jeni Gamble, and Kimball Starr) showcase beautiful room settings inspired by a fine craft item. This year’s theme: nature’s four elements—fire, water, earth, and air. And new to the lineup is Hip Pop, a pop-up of innovative wares by emerging artists.

Pool Party
Auberge du Soleil is celebrating its 30th anniversary in a big way, with redesigned maisons named Vence and Mougins. You’ll notice a contemporary vibe in a muted color palette, a departure from the hotel’s formerly French country style. Whether you’ve got a room or not, head to Auberge this weekend for the first of what is planned to be an annual event. The property’s pool, typically reserved only for hotel guests, will open to the public for a sunset pool party. The latest celebration in Auberge’s Food of Place series, expect grilled summer favorites along with glasses of local rosé.

Get ready for the LA specs boutique’s third and final capsule collection with esteemed Parisian eyewear designer Thierry Lasry. Inspired by the symbiosis of these sister cities, the collaboration features two frame styles, one unisex and one women’s only, that come in a variety of colors with acetate layering. The limited-edition collection launches August 1.
