Industry Insider: Victorian-Inspired Scotland Yard Set To Open In The Marina

Exciting news for design and food lovers alike in San Francisco this week. G. Paoletti Design Lab (Maven, Per Diem, Tipsy Pig) has teamed up with Brian Cassanego and Jeff Gabrielson (previously working together on Noir Lounge in Hayes Valley) for a fresh redesign of what was formerly Bin 38 in the Marina.

Named after London’s police force and channeling Victorian-era décor, the new restaurant will be called Scotland Yard and is scheduled to open to the public on July 30, 2015. Mainly focusing on a revolving list of low production wineries and local breweries, the former Executive Chef of Bin 38, Jason Raffin, has stayed on to create a modern San Francisco-style menu.

“A visit to Scotland Yard will leave a lasting, unique impression,” Cassanego explained. “We felt that Gi Paoletti and James Moore were the team for us to create such an individual statement.”

A zinc-topped standing bar, glass light pendants, and iron straps on the dark wood bar all pay homage to London’s dark past. Victorian wall coverings create a deep glow and set the mood for a vibrant new gathering place in the Marina district.

Grand opening to the public is currently set for July 30th.

Visit: Scotland Yard, 3232 Scott Street, San Francisco, CA 94123
