A-Listers Celebrate The Unveiling Of The First Standalone RH Modern Gallery In Los Angeles
Author:Michelle KonstantinovskyIt’s safe to say that any event drawing the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Rashida Jones, and Patricia Arquette is by all accounts a successful soiree. Add in even more A-list celebrity tastemakers, gourmet bites, and flowing drinks, all in the name of an inspiring organization, and you’ve got a history-making Hollywood party.
But this impressive gathering wasn’t tied to an industry award show or blockbuster film premiere; the fete was in celebration of legendary luxury lifestyle curator, RH, Restoration Hardware. Unveiling its first-ever standalone RH Modern gallery on Wednesday, November 4, the brand welcomed influencers from the worlds of entertainment, design, fashion, philanthropy, and art to experience the first-of-its-kind retail concept for the modern lifestyle.
Benefiting the Art of Elysium, an organization creating social change by inspiring creativity in children, artists, and people in need of services and support, the November 4 launch party was co-hosted by Jones and other big names like designer Ross Cassidy, jewelry designer and photographer Lisa Eisner, and stylist Petra Flannery. The guest list also included names like Jordana Brewster, Katharine McPhee, Amy Smart, and Abigail Spencer, all sipping Cipriani Bellinis and Ma(i)sonry wine while partying to the sounds of DJ Chris Malinchak.
RH Modern combines a fresh minimalist aesthetic with the brand’s iconic cozy style to offer curated and fully-integrated collections of modern furnishings, lighting, and décor. Some of the top names in international design have had a hand in developing the collections, and the RH Modern gallery is the ideal space to showcase the innovative offerings.
With Medjool date palms, stretched canvas, and a towering wall of water inspired by New York City’s Paley Park, RH Modern’s outdoor furniture collection is situated in a modern sculpture garden. A two-story lobby and monolithic staircase leading to the second floor add even more awe-inspiring elements to the space, and artistic installations reflect the brand’s stylistic point of view.
Also spotlighted in the bright and minimalistic space is RH Contemporary Art, which showcases original works from a roster of globally curated emerging and contemporary artists. Additionally, a dedicated RH Design Atelier houses a vast library of fabrics, leathers, and furniture finishes to allow guests to conceptualize their dream spaces with the help of the RH design team or their interior designers and architects.
