Social Style: Katie Hodges on Instagram

The, LA-based designer, likes to consider herself someone who pays attention to the “voice” of the house (and in turn designs to compliment the space’s soul). Well, from what we can tell, Katie is a good listener and she shares that through vibrant images of her designs–like this black, rattan dining room set-up that she made happen. Or when she outfitted a Sherman Oaks living space in neutrals, but did it in a way that was beyond bright and beautiful.
Katie knows how to make a room one you want to linger in and that’s because she has a flare for mixing modern with bohemian and rustic. Stripes, wood and clean lines? Sure.
But like any ultra-cool designer, Katie isn’t all pillow inspiration and crave-worthy color palettes (even though we love when she is).
She’s a design darling who has no shame–confirming that a McDonald’s soft-serve ice cream is all right by her–takes pride in a peaceful selfie after an intense design session and agrees that not every day is going to be the best. We know this because from time-to-time Katie takes you into her home and she has a print that affirms her belief.
And pups? She’s got those too. Two of them (and a cat), who grace her feed quite a bit, which we think is grand. Whether a solo shot or a family photo, Katie’s loves to show off her fur babies.
