West Elm and Coyuchi Join Forces for One-of-a-Kind Organic CollectionAuthor:Michelle Konstantinovsky
If you spend all day dreaming of your cozy organic cotton sheets, you have one company to thank: Coyuchi. The Bay Area-based textile brand is considered the first to bring organic cotton bedding to the United States, and now the 20-year-old company is teaming up with another iconic name in home design to create a one-of-a-kind collection.
The Coyuchi for West Elm Collection celebrates relaxed style and luxurious fabric and features 100% organic cotton, global organic textile standard (GOTS) certified bedding, handcrafted pillows, and bath towels. The modern designs are rooted in nature and the materials and manufacturing reflect both brands’ commitment to sustainability.
Using organic and natural fibers free of dyes, bleaches and finishes, Coyuchi is the first US brand to achieve Fair Trade Certification status for its line of towels. The company takes going green seriously, so the new collaboration makes perfect sense; West Elm ensures that all its products are either certified organic, recycled, rapidly renewable, non-toxic, reclaimed, or responsibly produced from materials like wood and paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
