Take a trip around the world without leaving the Bay Area. In this interesting session—lead by Walker Zanger’s own vice president of sales Mike Bastone, who doubles as a sommelier—you’ll explore the links between terroir and tile. Translated as “sense of place,” the term terroir embodies the effect that place of origin has on the essence of a wine. Walker Zanger will take you on a journey through the regions that influence their collections, while you sip wines born of those same places. Taste a Pinot Noir from the region known for French limestone, the super reds of the Sienna silver travertine region, and classics from Spain paired with classic marbles.
