The 29th Annual LA20/21: Los Angeles Modern Design Show & Sale


It’s the most wonderful time of year: for design exhibitors and collectors. The highly anticipated LA 20/21 Modern Design Show & Sale returns May 13th to 3LABS Studio in Culver City with a star-studded Opening Night Party to benefit the Los Angeles Conservancy, and this year’s exciting list of more than forty national and international exhibitors are prepped to present an impressive collection of furniture, in addition to decorative and fine arts reflecting all design periods of the 20th and 21st century. 

Formerly known as the LA Modernism Show, it has been expanded in format to include limited editions of contemporary 21st century art and design and will offer a broad range of exceptional design objects for collectors and home designers including furniture, lighting, sculpture, paintings, jewelry, silver, glass, ceramics, photography, textiles, prints, rugs, posters, vintage clothing and accessories. Billings Auction of Los Angeles will be displaying a 1958 VW Karmann-Ghia Convertible, declared one of the 100-best designed products in the world. Of the more than 40 presenters, AHRRS Contemporary Art of Paris, France, Reform Gallery and Off the Wall of Los Angeles, Archive of Laguna Beach, and Royle of Miami, will be among the returning dealers. Debuting presenters include Atomic Home and Hennessey & Ingalls of Los Angeles, Modeco Furniture of Newport Beach, Red Modern Furniture of Phoenix, Silk Road Modern + Oriental Rugs of Beverly Hills, The 2nd House Objects of Los Angeles, and Icon Modern Home of Rancho Mirage, CA.

Collectors Hour during the Opening Night Party will take place from 6p.m – 7p.m on Friday, May 13th, followed by a cocktail party and early buying opportunity from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. Show hours are Saturday, May 14th, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 15th, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Opening night tickets are $250 for the Collectors Hour and $100 for the Cocktail Party and are available in advance at and at the door. The show continues through the weekend – open to the public – for admission of $15 per person at the door and includes a show catalog.

3LABS Studio, which will be hosting the event, is located at 8461 Warner Drive, Culver City, CA 90232.
