Nanette Gordon, interior designer and founder of Nanette Design, was looking to establish a space Mom could call her own by tranforming a walk-in closest nestled close to the children’s room into a sophisticated sancturary at the 2016 San Francisco Designer Showcase. Layering warm, metallic tones and sumptuous texture, “Mom’s Cave” served as the perfect place to read and unwind. Creating an atmosphere with an intended regal touch, Nanette shopped the Sloan Miyasato showroom to find unique pieces for her interior tribute to Mom. Here, the designer shares her most recent finds at the showroom with us.

“I adore the clean lines and brass accents of this Hellman-Chang Natalia Dresser. This casegood not only offers fantastic storage but also can be customized with either lacquer or suede drawer fronts.”

“The Hellman-Chang Tao Dining Chair’s handcrafted, curved wood frame is simply stunning.”

“A sculptural hand-formed steel base gives Evan Lewis’ Alexandra Coffee Table an artful feel.”

“Pagani Studio’s Esterel Chandalier’s luxurious rock crystal can elevate any space. I’d love to see this fixture in a living room as a statement piece.”

“Sleek and sculptural, Randolph & Hein’s Tekapo Table is a gorgeous piece designed in collaboration with local furniture designer Peter Karel.”

“This upholstered Madison Bed and Nightstand set from Anees Upholstery would shine in a contemporary bedroom. Upholstered black panels and an inset headboard make this piece completely customizable.”

“With it’s bronze finish and geometric shape, Pagani Studio’s Aleria Sconce harks back to Art Deco design.”
