“Parca Libre” Celebrating an Afternoon in Havana
Author:Lindsey Shook
On May 18th the PARCA Auxiliary hosted its 28th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show. This year’s theme “Parca Libre” transported over 350 guests to an afternoon in Old Havana, at the beautiful home of Kellie and James Meyers in Hillsborough. The cobblestone walkway lead to an open air mercado where guests listened to Cuban music reminiscent of the Buena Vista Social Club, savored hors d’oeuvres and delicious beverages and shopped the silent auction.
For lunch, guests sat amongst beautifully decorated tropical tables and enjoyed an on-theme menu by Billy Harris of St. Clair’s Catering. Steiner’s Jewelry presented a $3,500 shopping spree to the winner of a ‘heads or tails’ game. Attendees bid on fantastic live auction packages and viewed the latest fashion trends on the runway presented by Sam Malouf Authentic Luxury with jewelry by Erickson Beamon. The fashion show closed with personal guest appearance by CFDA award winning designer Prabal Gurung who showcased his Fall 2016 line.
We are honored to be involve with the PARCA Auxiliary who gives proceeds from this event directly towards Parca Organization.
