1. Who is your biggest role model?

So many role models… especially attracted to people who swim up stream, follow their gut, create beauty while staying true to themselves and express kindness in all they do with everyone. Those are the people I admire, look up to and pattern my life after.

2. Which movie or play do you wish you could have designed the set for?

Crazy, Stupid Love. I loved Ryan Gosling’s home. Not so much the interiors but the architecture, the setting…or, let’s be honest, maybe it was just Ryan.

3. What is the best way to gauge a client’s personality before starting a project?

In person. Always meet in person before diving in. And always trust your gut about how pleasant an experience you think you will have with them going forward… interior design is an intimate process and you want everyone to enjoy it as much as possible.

4. What new design trends are you excited to integrate into your work?

Going green. People are caring more about how their home/life style effects the environment. I’m looking forward to finding ways to incorporate conscious
choices for our planet in an aesthetically beautiful way.

5. How do you completely unwind?

A glass of wine at the end of the day. A long walk. The ocean whenever I can get there.

6. If you hadn’t become a designer, which career would you have pursued?

Fine artist. I painted portraits for years before starting down this path. My paint brushes sit on my desk and stare back at me now… I’ll get back to it one day.

7. What’s the worst pre‐designer job you’ve ever had and why?

Administrative Assistant. I can do it well, but miss the creative side of myself too much.

8. What’s your favorite recipe?

So many to choose from…top three are doordash.comtrycaviar.com, andpostmates.com! (Read: I’m not a chef!)

11. First celebrity crush?

12. What’s your hidden talent?

13. Best restaurant in your area? Where is it?

Pizzaiolo. In Temescal–my favorite Oakland neighborhood.

5. SF or LA?
