The Agenda: RH Modern Showrooms, Napa Valley Showhouse, and a Revamped Hotel Figueroa

Restoration Hardware enthusiasts, listen up. The recently launched RH Modern brand, along with interactive RH Design Ateliers and Ben Soleimani rug showrooms, have unveiled innovative new retail concepts across all galleries in California, including San Francisco, Corte Madera, Walnut Creek, Palo Alto, and Los Gatos in the Bay Area. And if you haven’t checked out the Fall 2016 RH Interiors source book, designed by renowned art director Fabien Baron, now’s the perfect time to do so (as you’re finalizing your holiday wish lists, of course). The source book features new artisan collaborations and product introductions—including collections by local makers Jonathan Browning, Jon Sarriugarte, and Ed Robinson. It’s all available online and on the floor at local RH galleries.

Traditional Home Napa Valley Showhouse
The fifth annual Napa Valley Showhouse is here, giving you the perfect excuse for a winter weekend getaway to Wine Country. This year’s house, owned by Lisa Peju of Peju Province Winery, has been given a fresh new look by a team of acclaimed designers, who took inspiration from the beauty of the estate’s surrounding landscape. Admire the work of interiors experts, including Melanie Coddington (outdoor pool and entertaining area), Robert Brown (cottage living room and kitchen), and Kim Scodro (main living area great room). Then, make your way over to Liana Estates in Carneros, the latest concept by Peju family vineyard, for a post-tour tasting.

Holiday Open House and Local Market
Santa Barbara Wine Collective is hosting a holiday market perfect for those of us looking for last-minute shopping ideas. Local vendors will offer up handcrafted wares so you can share something uniquely Santa Barbara with friends and family. Think Chapala Farms jams, handcrafted leather goods from Mi Refugio Project, and Jessica Foster confections. Plus, Santa Barbara Wine Collective will have wines on hand for sipping while you shop.

Hotel Figueroa
Revamp
This month, Santa Monica-based design firm Studio Collective will unveil a newly renovated Hotel Figueroa in downtown L.A. The historic property, which was a women’s hostel by YWCA in the 1920s, will feature updates to its 268 guest rooms, and a premiere suite now has a hidden door access to a special private party room. Wide plank hardwood floors, bespoke wallpaper, and custom decorative tile makes each room unique while also reinforcing the hotel’s Spanish design origins. As a nod to its location in downtown L.A.’s arts district, suites will be curated with works by local artists. But perhaps the biggest draw is the hotel’s 10,000-square-foot desert-like oasis surrounding downtown L.A.’s only ground-level pool.
