Mark Your Calendars: The 38th Annual CSL Kitchen Tour Is May 18

The annual tradition is back: On May 18, Community Service League (CSL) will present its 38th Kitchen Tour, showcasing some of the Bay Area’s most inspiring design talents. In addition to hosting some head-turning visuals, the event will also promote CSL’s mission of bringing awareness and raising funds for those struggling with mental illness. Over the years, the organization has raised a staggering two million dollars to benefit the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County and the Crisis Intervention & Suicide Prevention Center of StarVista.

Each year, CSL highlights five distinctive homes, and this year’s special selections are located in Burlingame, Hillsborough, and San Mateo Park. Attendees will observe major diversity in style between the homes, which include modern, traditional, historical, modern English cottage, and homeowner designed. CSL will also be offering local culinary tastings and demonstrations on the grounds at each home, so come with an appetite.

The theme of this year’s event is Benjamin Moore’s 2018 Color of the Year, Caliente, a vibrant red that represents strength, radiance, and energy — three descriptors that could easily be applied to the small but might group of CSL members who work tirelessly to pull off the annual fete and fundraiser.

To purchase tickets, visit cslsmc.org or head over to one of these local retailers:

  • Burlingame – Calico, Pot-Pourri, Pottery Barn
  • San Carlos – Da Vinci Marble
