A fundraiser for local school programs, there is a range of these handsomely renovated– or brilliantly reinterpreted– classics on the tour, designed by Jones + Emmons and Claude Oakland and built in the mid-60s.

South: The proponent of a slightly formal, serene brand of Modernism, Edward Killingsworth designed a number of restrained wood and glass homes in Long Beach’s upscale Bixby Knolls neighborhood. The Historical Society of Long Beach is offering a two part event, with a talk at the Petroleum Club followed by tour of Killingsworth’s local projects, all private homes that are otherwise inaccessible.
