The California Home+Design team hosted an early kick-off dinner with Scott Group Studio and Dering Hall at the La Peer Hotel, designed by Gulla Jonstodier. The intimate occasion was a celebration of the 2018 window designers, during which a rug collaboration by Scott Group Studio was awarded to James Magni.
Decaso hosted an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Haas Brothers Studio, granting access to the brothers, Simon and Nikolai Haas’ whimsical workspace. From their iconic creatures to projects utilizing their 10,000 kilos of Italian Murano beads, the Haas Brothers provided a glimpse into a world that is beyond anyone’s imagination.

Next stop, Paul Ferrante’s stunning, newly re-designed Melrose Place Showroom for the Thomas Jayne and Ted Loos star-studded book signing event for his new book: Classical Principles for Modern Design – Lessons from Edith Wharton and Ogden Codman’s The Decoration of Houses.

By far, one of the most spectacular events of the week that focused on giving back, was hosted by Patrick Dragonette in partnership with 1stdibs. The exclusive exhibition and sale featured over 200 unique artworks where various high-profile designers, artists and fashion icons provided their own interpretation of New York artist Doug Meyer’s art piece. Proceeds from the sold art went to benefit ACRIA.

Many people came out to celebrate the Art of Collaboration event celebrating the art of collaboration in the design community with a vivid installation designed by Rhodium Floors, Victoria + Albert and Neptune Glassworks.
Hearst Design Group and Moore & Gils closed the week’s festivities with their Closing Cocktail Party at the Harbinger Showroom, allowing attendees to exchange memorable moments and highlights of Legends 2018.
