Pinched with Delight

It’s no secret that we are in love with everything from The Future Perfect, including the latest bedroom collection by Pinch, on display at the Future Perfect’s newly expanded San Francisco gallery, The Complex. Known for their classic design that offers a hint of modern complexity, the Pinch collection features two new peices; the Elan Armoire and the Moreau Bed, alongside the Pendel Sofa upholstered in Pierre Frey’s vibrant Le Couple fabric, a lacquered drink cabinet, and more.

Since opening their doors in 2004, Pinch’s clientele have been begging for the debut of a bed. “Designing a bed is a great challenge and resisting the temptation to over-design is an important consideration in our work.  We want our furniture to display an enriching but relaxed simplicity and a lightness of touch, while delivering recognisable Pinch handwriting in a piece that has only so much room for re-invention,” notes Russell Pinch, Founder of Pinch.

The second piece in the collection is the Elan Armoire, a wardrobe that offers an innovative approach to traditional Marquetry. Inspired by a sculpture that was made by Russell Pinch’s father, three harmonious birch veneers are combined to create a gentle yet dimensional color story, layered across the abstract shapes that decorate the doors.
