Get Down to Business at Spring PlaceAuthor:Abigail Stone
Spring Place, the Manhattan-based social club and collaborative workspace catering to a global community of elites, unveils its newest location in the heart of Beverly Hills. Over the past three years, the club has built a strong reputation for attracting leaders in the entertainment, fashion, design and business industries and has hosted renowned events such as NY fashion Week, TriBeCa Film Festival and the Independent Art Fair. It’s impressive member and founders include Irina Shayk, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Marco Bizzarri, Michael Mente to name a few.
Bringing to California a true work play environment, the club offers its members the unique ability to blend their professional work with their vivid lifestyle of entertaining and dining. “We wanted to create a space that serves our members in all areas of their lives – a space that’s efficient and inspiring to work in, while offering the opportunity for social connection, networking and culturally relevant and thought-provoking programming,” says co-founder Francesco Costa.
The 40,000 square foot space, designed by architecture and design firm wHY, features 18 private offices, open hot desks, a lounge, showroom space, phone booths, private dining rooms and a 6,500 square foot rooftop with stunning city views of downtown Los Angeles. The design was led by wHY’s founding partner and creative director Kulapat Yantrasast and incorporates a refined mid-century modern aesthetic and a mix of vintage and contemporary pieces, including custom pieces from wHY’s in-house Objects studio. “Our idea for Spring Place in Beverly Hills was to fuse the best of east and west coast designs with a global sense of place. We wanted the experience to be full of lush plants and exquisite materials in a fresh indoor/outdoor atmostphere,” says Yantrasast. The result is an eclectic, fun and personal gathering space.
