Montage Laguna Beach Gets a Must-See Resort-Wide Renovation

Author:

To celebrate its 16 years of service, SoCal staple, Montage Laguna Beach unveiled an extensive, property-wide renovation this March that brings an upgraded look and feel to the coastal retreat.

Guests are immediately greeted with the property’s new and improved design upon entering the entry, lobby, and lobby lounge. A framed window overlooking the Pacific Ocean illuminates the space’s Brazilian Cherry wood floors and California-inspired furniture. Early birds can enjoy the view with freshly baked breakfast pastries and hand-crafted espresso drinks, and sunset lovers can take in the view with cocktails and live piano music.

Each of the 253 guest accommodations, including suites and bungalows, have also gotten a facelift, mixing modern and traditional elements. The new color palette includes muted tones accented by bright bursts of color (think violet, yellow, and chartreuse) and natural light highlights the vast assortment of modern art and photography throughout the guest spaces. The bathrooms have all been elevated as well, with new marble floors, chrome accents, vanities, and mirrors with dimmer-controlled lighting.

Sustainability is also a theme that runs throughout the renovated Montage Laguna Beach with eco-friendly amenities and details. The Madison Collection, a luxury linen manufacturer founded on eco-commerce and sustainably produced products, produced the property’s plush robes, and Laguna Candles created a proprietary scent exclusive to the resort. Additional sustainably-sourced amenities include throw blankets from Matouk, Bloom Coco Mat natural fiber baby mattresses for little ones, and Champagne buckets, modern-design dog bowls, and select trays from Tina Frey. Guests also have access to PressReader, an app that includes thousands of newspapers and magazines from around the world (with none of the paper waste).

Some other impressive additions to the Montage Laguna Beach include a collaboration with local farm and garden designers, Tenfold Harvest to re-imagine Studio Garden as well as building a tea garden. The resort is also refreshing the Mosaic Pool cabanas to include individual herb gardens for a delicious twist on poolside cocktails. The property’s signature children’s program, Paintbox, also features new programming, including a partnership with The Ocean Institute.

Guests looking to ring in the new renovation are invited to take advantage of the “Celebration Escape” offer, which includes a $100 daily resort credit for each accommodation or a $200 daily resort credit for suites, as well as daily breakfast.
