Focusing on creating special statement pieces for designers and boutiques, Made Goods’ offerings are distinguished by their use of unusual materials, unexpected proportions and thoughtful design. The company has showrooms in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and New York. Now they’ve decided to open their first location in Los Angeles. Unlike their other locations, this one will also be open to the public.

Chris Dewitt, president and co-founder, and his partner, Oscar Yague, had been searching for a space in Los Angeles for over two years when they stumbled onto the 4,500 square foot location on Beverly Boulevard. Perfectly positioned between La Cienega’s Design Quarter, the showrooms and stores along La Brea Avenue, and the West Hollywood Design District, “an immediately feeling came over us that THIS was Made Goods’ LA home,” says Dewitt.

“Our headquarters and warehouse is located in the city of Industry, about 30 minutes east from DTLA, and it doesn’t have any retail function,” says Dewitt. “Having the store and warehouse in such close proximity allows for us to serve our design customers in a unique way. Being able to shop showroom but also source and fulfill orders with Made Goods’ deep assortment, it means we can also serve the public more easily.”

The showroom will carry a wide range of Made Goods’ mirrors, lighting, accent tables and décor including Made Goods classics: the Torion buffet in dark horn; the Coco Mirror, whose resemblance to leaf coral is the result of hours of molding and hand painting; and the handmade black and white striped marble Carlotta nesting tables. There are also fine home accessories from Pigeon & Poodle, the company’s sister brand, a curated assortment of coffee table books, a collection of home fragrances from Thucassi.

“The timing was right for the opening of this store,” says Dewitt adding, “It coincides with the celebration of our 10-year anniversary.”
