Book Your Next Stay at Les CactusAuthor:Lindsey Shook
Just when we thought Palm Springs couldn’t get any cooler, a new 27 room boutique hotel, Les Cactus, opened its doors. Named after the 60’s French rock ‘n roll hit by Jacques Dutronc, Les Cactus Palm Springs brings to life a unique residential-style space to the desert known for modern design.
Located in the Warm Sands neighborhood, LA-based hotelier Matthew Kurtz and local partners Richard Crisman and Jeff Brock, revived the historic 1930’s property with a focus on design, affordability and service. “We want guests to feel as comfortable as they would in the home of a best friend or family member,” explains Kurtz. “That could mean grabbing snacks and drinks from the Hotel’s kitchen, playing the Hotel’s piano or acoustic guitar or stocking up on extra amenities from the curated retail shop.”
Reinvigorating the neighborhood’s hospitality scene, Les Cactus’s palette mixes natural with a signature pink exterior and green and white striped accents. The pet-friendly hotel offers a mix of one-bedroom suites and studios, many of which house large kitchenettes.
