Gucci has long been the choice for original yet timeless fashion. Now, to cap it off, and feed the body as well as the soul and the spirit, Chef Massimo Bottura, the Italian restauranteur whose three-Michelin-star restaurant Osteria Francescana, based in Modena, Italy has long been a pilgrimage for those who love Italian food, has now opened Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Beverly Hills.

The sprawling restaurant on the roof of Gucci’s Los Angeles store boasts outdoor seating and panoramic views of Los Angeles. Gucci Decor wallpaper, antique mirrors, red marble dining tables and wicker dining chairs nod to the design of Gucci Osteria, its sister space in Florence. Setting it apart from its sibling however are unique elements. Inside, that includes herringbone wood flooring and cherry red velvet banquettes. The outdoor terrace boasts Italian marble mosaic floors and an antique wooden pulpit, which serves as the Osteria’s outdoor bar.

The unusual partnership that birthed this restaurant grew out of the childhood friendship between Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri and Chef Massimo Bottura. The hallmark of their relationship throughout the years has been innovation and change.

The restaurant’s menu celebrates the produce of California. Amongst Chef Bottura’s signature dishes, including Tortellini with Parmigiano Reggiano Cream and the Emilia Burger, are new plates that transform classic Italian recipes into cross-cultural compositions by mixing references, techniques and flavors.

Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Beverly Hills, 347 N Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. Open 7 days a week, for lunch and dinner, the restaurant can be accessed both from inside the store and from the street.
