Kanava Hotels & Resorts’ Mystique Hotel, perched on the Caldera cliffs of Oia in Santorini, has already made a name for itself as a a must-experience destination. But now that the Mediterranean paradise has partnered with OPO wellness and technology studio to create an immersive meditation program for guests.
The exclusive experience offers participants the chance to access customized sessions while taking in the sights, including the surrounding deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Upon checking into their rooms at Mystique, guests will receive a unique link that takes them to the OPO app, where they may listen to a pre-arrival meditation session, to cut down on any pent up travel stress.
OPO’s ‘Today’ and ‘Learn To Meditate’ sessions are guided by OPO’s founder, Chris Connors who has over twenty years of experience as a meditation teacher. The ‘Today’ meditation program is split between four sessions (Morning Rise, Daytime Chill, Evening Reflections, and Night Sky), and is intended to rejuvenate guests with the support of enchanting soundscapes, breath work methods, and other mindfulness techniques.
The ‘Learn To Meditate’ program is designed for meditation newbies and experienced practitioners alike. The program encourages guests to go back to basics in order to cultivate new perspectives and embrace the island’s carefree vibe. ‘Learn To Meditate’ is also split into four sessions ranging from four to 12 minutes each.
Aside from the new meditation experience, Mystique Santorini is a one-of-a-kind landmark for travelers. Designed following the traditional Cycladic architecture, Mystique is a private hideaway that’s open to the natural, legendary landscape. All of the stone-crafted, cave-style suites and villas offer uninterrupted ocean views and all suites include secluded terraces — most of which feature private jacuzzis or pools hanging from the cliff.
Opened in May 2007 on the iconic scenery of Oia, Mystique was carved into the Caldera cliffs to provide mesmerizing views of the Aegean archipelago and the Santorini volcano. Designed by architect Mary Kavagia, the hotel preserves the natural surroundings and pays homage to the traditional architecture of the original structure. French designer Frank Lefebvre created custom-made furniture inspired by nature while the property’s signature cream beige tone rounds out the soothing ambiance of the secluded sanctuary.
