The Thompson Seattle unveils new penthouse suites that form a deeper connection to the soul of the Emerald City
One of Seattle’s hottest design destinations—Thompson Seattle—just unveiled two new penthouse suites, expanding their offering for guests that desire a home away from home. The hotel which was designed by world-renowned architecture and design firm Olson Kundig, upgraded their luxury offering with the opening of the two new 1,000-square-foot suites that offer sweeping views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains.
“We are thrilled to offer our every day and extended stay guests spaces that feel more like private residences, and the new Penthouse Suites truly feel like a private luxury apartment set above the bustle of the Pike Place Market just across the street,” said Whitney Brown, General Manager of Thompson Seattle. “Ideal for those seeking privacy and functional, upscale design, the new suites were created for guests to entertain with sweeping views of Elliot Bay in the oversized living room, relax in the spa-inspired bathroom, and sleep well thanks to all of the thoughtful comforts of home the Penthouse Suites offer.”
Designed by Seattle-based Haus + Home to further complement Olson Kundig’s direction throughout the property, each suite is doused in warm woods, rich leather and modern accents. The expansive spaces feel more like apartments as they both include a king bedroom, living room and dining room that feature original artwork curated by Julianne Johnson and Austin Hicks of XO Seattle who brought in works from local artists; Akin Olugbade, Ariel Parrow, Zachary Schomberg, Sean Hamilton, Carlos Ruiz and Julianne Johnson. Additionally, the spa-like bathrooms, laundry room and kitchens come fully equipped with all items needed to relax or entertain.
