Kintsugi Ceramic Class Tokyo-based artisan potter and specialty ceramics instructor Tomomi Kamoshita teaches a modern version of kintsugi technique, i.e. the process of connecting broken pieces of ceramics using gold and urushi lacquer. All materials are provided.

Hauser & Wirth Film Series
Los Angeles gallery Hauser & Wirth hosts a three night event called “I Still Dream About California: A Film Series Organized by Annie Leibovitz.” The screening coincides with first L.A. exhibition of the photographer’s work titled, “Annie Leibovitz. The Early Years, 1970 – 1983: Archive Project No. 1.” Named for a quote from the artist, ‘I Still Dream About California’ features films that were influential in her early career that exemplify the state’s grit and beauty.

FIDM Museum Field Trip
AIGA LA makes a group trip to FIDM Museum’s annual #ArtOfCostumeDesign exhibition. This year’s exhibition features a variety of film genres representing outstanding achievement in costume design from fan favorites and Academy Award® nominees and winners. The exhibit runs through April 12.

“There & Away” Exhibition
Photographer Tyler Bensinger’s exhibition “There & Away” debuts at the House of Lucie in Downtown L.A. Inspired by the award-winning book, by the same name, “There & Away” reflects the book’s theme, “Mono No Aware,” the bittersweet awareness of the transient nature of life. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
