The annual celebration, and one of the most anticipated events in the national design calendar, is now in its 11th year. The party begins on the evening of May 7th and runs through May 9th.

This year’s theme – Legendary: Icons of Design – honors the theme that kicked off the first Legends event back in 2009.  50 internationally renowned design stars from Sasha Bikoff and Jeremiah Brent to Alex Papachristidis and Kathryn Ireland, will present homages to legendary interior designers of the past including living legends New York-based designer Bunny Williams of New York and Los Angeles’ Suzanne Rheinstein. Two of the most hotly-anticipated events of this year’s action-packed 3 days are one-on-one discussions between top design editors and these living legends: on Wednesday, May 8, Bunny Williams will sit down for an intimate chat with Elle Decor’s Whitney Robinson, and Suzanne Rheinstein will be joined by Jill Waage of Traditional Home for a friendly discussion on Thursday, May 9.

Other highlights include: “Shop the Quarter” takes places on May 7th. Featuring Design Dash, the self-paced game is presented by Sotheby’s Home and will award prizes for visiting LCDQ showrooms; more than 18 design authors will discuss and sign their latest books, including two group book signings at Mecox and Hammer & Spear; on Tuesday, May 7th, meet LA artist Peter Shire at Farrow & Ball at noon; and, a green room, sponsored by Pacific Sales, will offer LEGENDS guests a place to refresh and recharge their electronic devices, as well as hosting a special luncheon with the Living Legends.
