The Headlands Center for the Arts, a multidisciplinary, international arts center in the Marin Headlands, hosted its annual Benefit Art Auction at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture’s Festival Pavilion in San Francisco on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Raising more than $900,000, the night proved to be the organization’s highest grossing fundraiser to date in support of programs for artists and the public.
Event highlights included the commissioned installation A chair and its network by artist Jillian Mayer, aura portraits by Auradome, newly released limited editions by Amy Nathan and Chris Deam, and a rousing paddle raise led by Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat author and Headlands alum Samin Nosrat that garnered $113,000 in support of Headlands programs.
