Save the Date: The 4th Annual Tender Bender Block PartyAuthor:Lindsey Shook
Save the date for September 19, for the fourth annual Tender Bend Block Party, a neighborhood shindig hosted by the many design studios that now line the streets of the Tenderloin Center City Design District. Veteran residents JayJeffers and Studio BBA have both been in the neighborhood for over ten years, recently welcoming a number of dynamic companies including; Clayton Timbrell & Company Inc., Erica Timbrell Design, Geremia Design, Interstice Architects, Jeff King & Company (celebrating their 20th year in business), studioHEIMAT, Sutro Architects and TEF Design.
Recently coined the “Center City Design District” by Bonnie Bridges, the event was created so that several of the design studios could open their doors and studio-hop and get to know their neighbors better. Now, Tender Bender offers a stylish stroll down the block packed with food provided by Jane on Larkin, The Saratoga, as well as one of La Cocina’s program participants and live music by the booty-shakin’ brass band, Mission Delirium. All ticket sales will benefit LaCocina, the SF Mission-based non-profit that will be moving into the Tenderloin in January with the highly anticipated Municipal Marketplace.
